United Way is coordinating services with local nonprofits and community leaders to provide support for Pickens County's most vulnerable neighbors during this critical time. We know that Pickens County residents over the next few months will need assistance meeting their most basic needs due to lost wages. The first round of funds has been distributed to agencies agencies serving our most vulnerable citizens.

Charter is offering free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K students who do not already have a Spectrum subscription. The Pickens County Advocacy Center is offering telecounseling to primary and secondayr parents, spouses, siblings survivors of sexual assault for anyone age 12 and up. These counseling services are free. SC Works Centers offer assistance with re-employment services for jobseekers, partner services, business services and resource rooms for use when filing for unemployment benefits or searching for work online.
